Let's get a discussion going on what the units are looking for. How do we interpret 'simple assessment tools'? Perhaps some guidance in the range statement would have helped us. And how did it make it in there in the first place.

NTIS finally replaced
The National Training Information Service has finally been replaced with a more user friendly database of RTOs, training packages, skill sets and much much more. View it at www.training.gov.au.

New VET Regulator commences operations
ASQA, the Australian Skills Quality Authority commenced operations on 1 July 2011. All RTOs registered in NSW, the NT and the ACT are required to comply with the new VET Quality Framework with Qld, SA and TAS transitioning late in 2011 or early in 2012. Non-referring states, VIC and WA, will retain regulatory powers for those RTOs offering training within those states and operate under mirroring legislation.
